
Ashleigh Lawrence, 32, Killed in Pacific Palisades DUI Crash
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 9, 2023) – Ashleigh Lawrence was killed after a DUI crash near Sunset Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades.
The coroner’s office identified the 32-year-old Los Angeles woman as one of the victims in the fatal collision which took place on Saturday.
The incident happened when Ashleigh Lawrence was overlooking the beach with a group of pedestrians in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood.
At the same time, a Dodge Charger was going south on Pacific Coast Highway near Sunset Boulevard. Deputies said the Dodge then slammed into three vehicles parked on the southbound shoulder.
6 Injured in Collision
The impact pushed two of the three cars into the rocks which in the process, struck three pedestrians seated in the area. The 21-year-old man driving the Charger was under the influence at the time.
The FOX 11 News and My News LA wrote that the accident occurred on April 8 at around 12:45 a.m. Ashleigh Lawrence died at the scene of the DUI crash.
The other two pedestrians, another woman and a teenage boy, and four more people ended up hurt as a result of the collision. The woman sustained serious back injuries and a broken wrist following the incident.
Paramedics rushed all six patients to hospitals and listed five of them in fair to moderate condition. Meanwhile, officers soon arrested the driver of the Dodge on suspicion of DUI.
