2 Adults, 2 Children Hit and Killed by on San Pasqual Valley Road in Escondido
ESCONDIDO (June 4, 2020) – Authorities detained the alleged DUI driver that killed four pedestrians in a crash along San Pasqual Valley Road last month.
Police determined that Ashley Rene Williams, 28, was under the influence of a substance when the fatal collision occurred on May 5.
The incident happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. when Williams was driving a 2014 Mazda 3 north on San Pasqual Valley Road near Oak Hill Drive.
According to reports by The San Diego Union-Tribune and NBC San Diego, the Escondido woman then struck a family of four walking in the area at the time.

Two victims, a man and a 11-year-old child, died at the scene. The other two, a woman and 12-year-old juvenile, succumbed to their injuries at Palomar Medical Center.
Officials identified the deceased as Carmela Camacho, 50; her boyfriend, Abel Juan Valdez, 33; and her grandsons, Emmanuel Rivas, 11, and Yovanny Felix, 10.
Meanwhile, paramedics took Williams to the hospital for minor wounds. Officers later arrested her on suspicion of four counts of murder and four counts of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
The tragic incident remains under investigation.
