CARLSBAD, California (September 28, 2016) – Injuries were reported following a hit-and-run collision on Interstate 5 freeway near Poinsettia Lane Wednesday afternoon, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The accident report logged at 4:27 p.m. mentioned a BMW i3 was struck by an unknown vehicle which continued driving after the crash. The BMW was left with major damages in the center divider.
At least one person was hurt from the incident, as per the CHP team. It was not immediately clear whether the victim sustained major or minor injuries.
Officers have launched a search operation for the hit-and-run suspect. Witnesses are called to contact the authorities in order to give light to the injury accident.
