Atef Mishreky ID’d as 52-year-old killed in 605 Freeway Crash
NORWALK, Calif. (July 16, 2018) – Atef Mishreky, 52, has been identified as one of two victims who died in a collision early Monday morning that took the lives of two people on the Interstate 605 Freeway at Rosecrans Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Both Mishreky and a 19-year-old woman died in the crash caused by a suspected DUI.
Martina Beshara, 22, of Paramount, was driving a 1999 Ford Winstar minivan with three passengers. Her vehicle became disabled on the freeway and was struck by suspected DUI driver Alex Barragan. The impact killed two of her passengers, Beshara was injured, and a 7-year-old girl suffered major injuries.
The fiery crash took place about 1:06 a.m.in the northbound lanes of the freeway. Four people in total were hurt in the minivan. The two vehicles became engulfed in flames following the collision.
Alex Barragan, 31, of Norwalk, who was driving the Infiniti, was arrested and booked on DUI charges.
Traffic Accident Investigation
At this time, it appears that the driver arrested on DUI charges is responsible for this horrible crash.
