Passenger Injured in Car Crash on Buhach Road Near Castlewood Avenue
ATWATER (May 8, 2018) – At least one person was injured in a traffic collision involving a tractor-trailer truck on Buhach Road Tuesday morning, according to Merced Sun-Star.
At approximately 9:30 a.m., a 2013 Dodge Ram pickup and a truck collided on Buhach Road near Castlewood Avenue.

Preliminary investigation revealed the accident happened when the driver of the Dodge, identified as a 36-year-old Tulare man, turned left from Buhach onto Castlewood. The Dodge reportedly went directly into the path of an oncoming truck driven by a 38-year-old Chico man.
Responding medical personnel found a female passenger inside the Dodge who appeared to be seriously injured. As per the article, the woman was transported to a Modesto hospital for treatment. Her identity has not been disclosed thus far.
Officials said no other injuries were reported following the collision.
At this time, the circumstances remain unclear as authorities are investigating liability and determining which party had the right-of-way.
