Minor Injury Collision on Highway 99 Near Atwater-Merced Expressway Friday
Atwater, CA (September 6, 2021) – On September 3, a car accident occurred in the area of State Route Highway 99 and Atwater-Merced Expressway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported two vehicles collided head-on at the crossing of Highway 99 and Atwater-Merced Expressway. At this time, no immediate information was available on the make and model of the cars involved in the crash.
2 Hospitalized After Car Accident in Atwater, September 3
Shortly after 5:10 a.m., emergency crews arrived at the accident scene. Responding paramedics reportedly found two people with minor injuries. Per CHP dispatch, medical personnel transported the two patients to Mercy Medical Center for treatment and further evaluation.
Several factor surrounding the incident remained unclear. Given that, investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine exactly how and why the car accident in Atwater happened.
