Semi-Truck, Car Crash in Atwater on Highway 99
ATWATER, Calif. (August 8, 2022) — An Atwater crash involving a semi-truck and car happened Monday on Highway 99 near Applegate Road.
The collision occurred in the northbound lanes of Hwy 99 about 8:29 a.m. on August 8th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the two vehicles collided due to unknown circumstances.
The white Honda sedan suffered major damage in the collision and required a flatbed tow truck, the report said.
Meanwhile, police closed down traffic in the No. 2 lane due to the crash.
Authorities did not mention how many were hurt in the collision, but an ambulance responded to the scene. The report states there are both major and minor injuries.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for the collision.
