Woman Fatally Struck by Vehicle on Main Street
Watsonville, CA (February 2, 2023) – Aubrey Newell, a 29-year-old female, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Main Street on January 6, Friday.
The Pajaronian News reported Newell stepped into the traffic lanes near Rodriguez Street in Watsonville. While walking inside a crosswalk, a passing car struck the woman. The horrible crash took place around 11:54 p.m.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Watsonville
Emergency crews later responded to the accident scene. When medical personnel arrived, they immediately rendered aid to the victim found lying on the ground. Paramedics rushed the injured woman to the hospital, but she eventually succumbed to her injuries and passed away.
The Santa Cruz County Coroner’s Office recently released the name of the deceased as Aubrey Newell.
Meanwhile, no information has been yet discussed on the driver involved in the unfortunate event. Detectives handling the case continue to work to determine liability in the deadly pedestrian accident that happened on Main Street in Watsonville.
