1 Seriously Injured in Auburn Crash at Highway 49 and Streeter Road
AUBURN, CA (December 18, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash at Highway 49 and Streeter Road in Auburn.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident late Saturday morning. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 11:39 a.m.
CHP said four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Auburn. They crashed on Highway 49 at the intersection with Streeter Road.
Multiple Cars Collide
The report described the cars as two Jeeps, a red pickup truck and a Honda. Both Jeeps obtained major front-end damage due to the impact of the collision.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the wreck.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to the Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the area of Highway 49 and Streeter Road to shut down for an hour following the wreck. The cause of the Auburn crash is still under investigation.
