1 Seriously Injured in Auburn Crash at Highway 49 and Willow Creek Drive
AUBURN (September 23, 2019) – At least one was seriously injured after a traffic collision in the area of Highway 49 and Willow Creek Drive Monday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident involving three vehicles was reported at about 5:19 p.m. Highway 49 is also known as Grass Valley Highway.
A Toyota pickup truck, a Toyota sedan and a white Mazda MX-5 collided for an unknown reason on southbound Highway 49 at Willow Creek Drive.
Multi-Car Accident at Grass Valley Highway and Willow Creek Monday
According to the report log, the 2-door Mazda MX-5 sustained moderate side damage as a result of the multi-car crash.
Paramedics responded to the scene and attended to one person who was confirmed to have suffered major injuries following the wreck.
The patient was then transported to the hospital for treatment. The name and condition of the wounded party at this time were not immediately disclosed.
Meanwhile, the roadway was cleared shortly after 6:30 p.m. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the incident.
