Motorcycle Rider Collides with Truck, Hospitalized
AUBURN, California (July 21, 2016) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision at the intersection of Highway 49 and Streeter Road on Thursday night, according to California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
CHP first logged the incident when the motorcycle rider was found down in the roadway after colliding with a compact cable truck about 8:08 p.m.
As per the dispatch, fire department along with the paramedics responded to the scene to attend to the motorcyclist who was reportedly not moving following the crash. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for major injuries.
The name and condition of the patient at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the accident to determine liability.
