Boy Injured Auburn Hit-and-Run at Grass Valley Highway and Willow Creek Drive
AUBURN, CA (June 23, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a boy at Grass Valley Highway and Willow Creek Drive in Auburn.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the incident at about 9:33 a.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck a male juvenile pedestrian for an unknown reason in Modesto. The driver hit the child at the intersection of Grass Valley Highway and Willow Creek Drive.
Juvenile Hit by Vehicle Near Home Depot
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Home Depot. They found the young victim hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the boy for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the juvenile and fled the area. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
Officers forced the area of Grass Valley Highway and Willow Creek Drive to close following the collision. The Auburn hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
