Sedan Pinned Up Against Guardrail Due to Collision
Auburn, Calif. (July 11, 2023) — A semi-truck accident occurred Tuesday morning at the State Route Highway 49 on ramp to westbound the Interstate 80 Freeway in Auburn California.
The collision occurred about 11:34 a.m. on July 11th, at the SR 49 on ramp in Placer County according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A silver Nissan Altima collided with a white semi-truck at the on ramp to the Interstate 80. The collision caused two major traffic hazards one in the third lane of the highway and the other being the slow lane. The silver Nissan Altima became pinned up against the right-hand side of the freeway between the guardrail the semi-truck. Officials reported that a person involved in the crash could not get out of their vehicle because they were bleeding due to broken glass.
Paramedics and the fire department were called on the scene to help those injured in the crash. Tow trucks were also summoned to help remove the debris and traffic hazards blocking the highway lanes.
Investigators are working on the case to determine who is at fault of the Auburn accident on Interstate 80 Freeway.
