Man, 81, Killed in Crash at Jamacha Road and Brabham Street
EL CAJON, Calif. (Sept. 6, 2024) — Augestin Youhanna, 81, of El Cajon, died after a pedestrian accident Sunday over the Labor Day weekend crossing Jamacha Road at Brabham Street.
The deadly collision occurred at 11:05 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1st, according to the San Diego Medical Examiner report.
The 81-year-old El Cajon man was crossing the intersection when a driver struck him due to unknown circumstances. The older-model sedan was traveling at a low rate of speed and its driver left the scene after hitting the elderly man.
A witness called 911 to report the crash and request paramedics. Augestin Youhanna was transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital where h died the following day at 4 p.m., the report said.
Investigators are working on the case and searching for the suspect.
