2 Injured in Car Accident at Elk Grove and Adams
ELK GROVE (July 17, 2018) – The alleged DUI driver who caused major injury collision Sunday evening in the area of Elk Grove Boulevard and Adams Street has been detained.
The suspect, 27-year-old Elk Grove resident Austin Crownover, was arrested suspicion of DUI and is reportedly being held without bail.
According to CBS Sacramento and KCRA, police said Crownover was traveling east on Elk Grove Boulevard when he struck another car in the intersection.

The other vehicle was making a right turn from Adams Street onto Elk Grove Boulevard when the crash occurred on July 15 shortly after 7:30 p.m.
Police affirmed that the male and female occupants of the car that was hit by the suspect were immediately transported to an area hospital where the woman was listed in critical condition.
The names of the victims were not released. Meanwhile, the arrest was made after Crownover was seen showing objective signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests.
