Motorcyclist Hurt in Car Crash on Silverado Trail in Napa
NAPA, Calif. (Sept. 17, 2019) — Austin Grosjean, 24, of Napa, suffered serious injuries when a suspected DUI driver crashed into the back of his motorcycle on Silverado Trail.
The Napa Valley Register reported that the crash took place about 8:30 p.m. at Highland Drive in Napa. Alexis Handleman, 68, of Napa, was driving the vehicle that crashed into Grosjean’s bike as he waited with his blinkers on to turn left onto Winding Way.
Paramedics responded and rushed Grosjean to a hospital where he was treated for a broken thigh bone.
Meanwhile, police arrested Handleman on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. She was booked into the Napa County Jail and later released after posting bail.
