Austin Newman crashHUNTINGTON BEACH, California ((May 8, 2017)  —  Austin Newman, 25, suffered major injuries a week ago (May 1) when his motorcycle and another vehicle collided on Pacific Coast Highway at 10th Street, according to the Orange County Register.

The crash took place about 4:40 p.m., the Huntington Beach Police Department said. Police closed down PCH between 9th and 11th streets to investigate the crash in an effort to determine liability.

According to a Go Fund Me Page set up to help Newman pay for medical bills, Newman was heading to work at the time of the crash. He was taken by ambulance to the ICU at Orange Coast Global Medical Center.

The young man has undergone five surgeries and is expected to have more medical treatment ahead, the Go Fund Me Page updates noted.
