Autumn Nichols, 37, Suspect in Highway 20 DUI Crash Near Wild Turkey Lane
NEVADA COUNTY/YUBA COUNTY, CA (August 26, 2021) – Autumn Nichols was arrested after a DUI crash near Highway 20 and Wild Turkey Lane.
The California Highway Patrol determined that the 37-year-old Nevada City woman was under the influence on Wednesday.
The incident began when Autumn Nichols was driving east on Highway Highway 20 near Wild Turkey Lane. At the same time, Bruce Kirk was going west.
CHP said Autumn Nichols then crossed the double yellow lanes into the path of the 75-year-old Smartsville man. In the process, the two crashed.

The wreck took place on August 25 shortly after 6 p.m. KNCO News wrote that the vehicles collided near the Nevada County and the Yuba County line.
Autumn Nichols and her passenger, a 3-year-old girl, sustained major injuries as a result of the Highway 20 crash. Paramedics rushed them to a hospital for for treatment.
CHP added that Bruce Kirk ended up hospitalized with moderate injuries. Meanwhile, officers soon arrested and charged Autumn Nichols with felony DUI and child endangerment.
The Highway 20 DUI collision is still under investigation.
