Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Crash on Avila Beach Drive Near Farm
AVILA BEACH, CA (August 23, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Avila Beach Drive near a farm.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Sunday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident on August 22 at about 2:06 p.m.
CHP said the rider of a black 2001 Harley-Davidson Road King and a silver Dodge pickup truck collided for an unknown reason.
Motorcycle and Car Collide in Avila Beach
The two crashed at 560 Avila Beach Drive in front of the Avila Valley Barn. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 101.
Medical personnel then found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of the road in Avila Beach to shut down following the crash.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
