8 Injured in Azusa Crash at San Gabriel Canyon Road Mile Marker 18

AZUSA, CA (April 11, 2021) – Several were injured after a car crash at San Gabriel Canyon Road and Mile Marker 18 in Azusa.

According to an article published by My News LA, the accident occurred on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:05 p.m.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department said two vehicles collided head-on for an unknown reason. They crashed at the intersection of San Gabriel Canyon Road and Mile Marker 18 in Azusa.

2 in Critical Condition After Head-On Collision

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then extricated two trapped occupants from the wreckage. A total of eight people ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

They listed both rescued individuals in critical condition. The other six patients sustained minor injuries upon impact. Medical personnel rushed them to the hospital for treatment.

Officials did not release the names of the wounded victims. Meanwhile, officers forced the roadway to shut down for a time following the Azusa crash.

Authorities are still determining the cause of the collision.
