BAKER, California (March 22, 2016) — Two people suffered serious injuries Tuesday afternoon when a brown SUV overturned on the northbound Interstate 15 Freeway near the Afton Canyon Campground, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The single-vehicle crash happened about 1:35 p.m. when the vehicle overturned and went roughly 30 feet off the roadway. Two people were in the vehicle, but managed to get out. Paramedics responded and airlifted at least one of them to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Police are investigating what caused the crash and will determine liability.
