BAKER, California (February 10, 2016) — At least one person died when a stalled truck was rear-ended by a semi-tractor trailer truck Wednesday morning on the northbound Interstate 15 Mojave Freeway near the Baker Boulevard off ramp, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The fatal crash was reported at 3:56 a.m. in the No. 2 lane. The person died at the scene of the crash and the coroner was sent to the scene. The big rig truck spilled roughly 24 quarts of oil on the roadway that required hazmat cleanup.
Police are investigating the crash and will determine liability.
