BAKERSFIELD, California (April 17, 2015) – Bette Anne McDonald-Perry, 68, and George Llewellyn Perry Jr., 68, of Roseville, were both killed Wednesday afternoon when a Range Rover car fell off the back of a car hauler and crashed into their vehicle while traveling southbound Interstate 5 near Millux Road, according to a Bakersfield Now news report.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the collision involving the Range Rover car which rolled off the car hauler driven by Hugo Paez, 51 of Temecula and into the path of the couple’s Toyota Corolla as they were driving southbound on the freeway.

Paramedics responded to the crash and transported the two people to Kern Valley Medical Center where they later died of their injuries.

“This is a tragedy for the family of these two people and my condolences go out to them at this difficult time,” said Attorney James Johnson.
