Perry James and Mary Pendley Hospitalized After SUV, Pickup Crash
BAKERSFIELD, California (August 24, 2017) – Perry Kenneth James and Mary Paula Pendley were both hospitalized with moderate injuries following a two-vehicle collision Thursday morning at Renfro and Meacham roads, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash was reported about 9:27 a.m. between a white pickup truck and a white SUV. The woman was trapped in her vehicle following the crash and one of the vehicles was on its side, the report said.
The intersection is controlled by a stop sign at Meacham Road as it approaches Renfro Road. The CHP report does not indicate what led to the crash, nor which way the vehicles were travelling.

This collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. Authorities will piece together what led to the crash and assign liability.
