BAKERSFIELD (October 14, 2016) – According to the California Highway Patrol, a head-on collision took place Friday morning on Weedpatch Highway (Highway 184).
CHP officials were dispatched to the scene of the crash at roughly 5:17 a.m.
As per an article by AB3 23, emergency crews located at the crash site near Hermosa Road three parties suffering in major injuries. All injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Further, officers affirmed a 17- or 18-year-old girl may have been on her cell phone and drifted into oncoming traffic resulting in the traffic accident.
Investigation is underway due to several factors remain unclear.
