BAKERSFIELD, California (November 13, 2014) – Nine drivers including a white big rig truck were involved in a crash Thursday morning on the westbound State Route 58 Freeway at South Chester Avenue, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
Police say the driver of an SUV crashed into the big rig truck in the center divider and the vehicle caught fire. There were at least four vehicles blocking the No. 1 lane including a black pickup truck and a black sedan.
Paramedics responded to the crash to assist those who were injured, but there were no further details provided.
Police will head up an investigation into the crash to determine liability.
