BAKERSFIELD, California (March 19, 2017) – Two were injured in a traffic collision involving a police officer on Cottonwood Road, according to Bakersfield Californian.
The accident took place near Bradshaw Street.
As per the article, Bakersfield Police officer was going south on Cottonwood Road when patrol unit collided into another vehicle headed south while merging into the flow of traffic.
The officer reportedly did not notice the second car involved.
The officer sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene while a passenger in the other vehicle was transported to a hospital with complaint of pain.
Meanwhile, drugs or alcohol did not appear to have played a role in the incident which is still under investigation.
