BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (July 2, 2021) — A Bakersfield car crash at Bernard Street and Camino Real happened Friday morning in Kern County.

The Bakersfield collision happened about 11:08 a.m. on July 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The 2-vehicle crash involved a  maroon Toyota Camry and a maroon SUV, police said. The crash happened in the No. 1 lane just east of Camino Real and just west of Floral Drive due to unknown reasons. The Toyota Camry suffered moderate rear-end damage in the collision.

CHP Responds to Minor Injury Collision at Camino Real and Bernard Street

Paramedics rushed to the Bakersfield car crash where at least one person was treated for minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the roadway was blocked by vehicles and emergency responders. The report does not mention the age and or gender of the injured.

There is no further information about the collision at this time. However, the CHP is investigating the cause of the crash and liability.
