3 Injured in Bakersfield Car Crash on Highway 43 Near Interstate 5
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 6, 2021) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash on Highway 43 near the Interstate 5 in Bakersfield.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Monday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 3:46 p.m.
The accident happened on October 4 when two vehicles collided in Bakersfield. They crashed for an unknown reason on southbound Highway 43, just south of the Interstate 5.
2 Vehicles Collide
The incident log described the cars as a black Chevrolet Camaro and a black colored SUV. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found a total of three people who sustained minor to moderate injuries as a result of the collision. They then took all three patients to the Kern Medical for treatment.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the Bakersfield car crash is still under investigation.
CHP forced both lanes of Highway 43 to shut down near the Interstate 5 following the wreck.
