1 Seriously Injured in Bakersfield Crash on Niles Street Near Horace Mann
BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 6, 2023) – One was seriously injured after a crash on Niles Street near Horace Mann Avenue in Bakersfield.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck on June 6 shortly after 6 p.m. near Hillcrest.
The incident happened when three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Bakersfield. The California Highway Patrol said the cars crashed on Niles Street near Horace Mann Avenue.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed the trapped passengers from two of the vehicles involved. At least one person sustained moderate to major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Niles Street to shut down near Horace following the wreck. The cause of the Bakersfield crash is still under investigation.
