1 Injured in Bakersfield Crash on Truxtun Extension Thursday
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 8, 2021) – One was hospitalized after a car crash along the Truxtun Extension in Bakersfield on Thursday.
According to an article published by the Bakersfield Now, officers said a total of three vehicles collided for an unknown reason.
They crashed on Truxtun Extension between Empire Drive and Commercial Way in Bakersfield. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene.
Multi-Car Collision Near Empire and Commercial
Medical personnel found one person who ended up injured as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced westbound Truxtun Extension to shut down between Empire and Commercial following the crash.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Bakersfield collision. They are investigating if alcohol, drugs, speed or distracted driving played a role in the wreck.
