BAKERSFIELD: Crash at Park Drive and Niles Street in East Niles

Two-Vehicle Collision at Bakersfield Intersection

KERN COUNTY, Calif. (May 1, 2025) — A two-vehicle crash happened Thursday morning at Park Drive and Niles Street in the East Niles area of Bakersfield in Kern County. It happened at 8:56 a.m. on May 1st, 2025.

The drivers of a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and a white Lexus sedan collided and were blocking the westbound lanes of the intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials stated the Lexus sedan had major front-end damage and both vehicles required tow trucks.

Paramedics responded to help those injured, but there are no further details.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Niles Street in Bakersfield.
