2-Vehicle Major Injury Crash in Bakersfield
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 16, 2022) — A Bakersfield crash happened on Bear Mountain Boulevard (SR- 223) Wednesday morning at South H Street in Kern County.
The collision happened in the eastbound lanes of State Route Highway 223 about 5:38 a.m. on Feb. 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported a white Toyota pickup truck and a gray Jeep collided at the intersection.
Paramedics responded to the scene to assist at least one person with major injuries. They transported the person by ambulance to a local hospital, but there are no further details. Authorities did not mention the age, gender or name of those hurt in the crash.
Meanwhile, tow trucks responded to remove the damaged vehicles and clear the roadway.
Investigators are working on the case and will determine fault for today’s crash on Bear Mountain Boulevard.
