2-Vehicle Rollover Crash on I-5 Freeway in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (August 26, 2021) — A Bakersfield crash on the Interstate 5 Freeway happened Thursday morning near Copus Road.
The two-vehicle collision happened about 6:48 a.m. on August 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Additionally, the CHP reported a gray Honda SUV went off the roadway and into an orchard. Also, a gray sedan overturned onto its roof on the right shoulder of the freeway. It’s unknown what led up to the two-vehicle crash at this time.
Other motorists pulled over and stopped to help those involved in the wreck.
Also, the Fire Department responded and transported two people to hospitals with minor injuries after the Bakersfield crash on Interstate 5. The CHP report did not confirm the nature of the injuries or mention the age and gender of those hurt in the crash.
Meanwhile, investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash and liability.
