Cyclist Killed in Collision Near Fairfax Road Tuesday
Bakersfield, CA (November 16, 2021) – A fatal bicycle accident occurred Tuesday afternoon on Eucalyptus Drive, the KGET News reported.
Our sources indicated a woman riding a bicycle crossed the street in the 6601 block of Eucalyptus Drive. The cyclist reportedly drove into the path of an oncoming blue Honda Civic.
Per article published online, the Honda driver failed to avoid and hit the bicycle rider. The collision took place near Fairfax Road in southeast Bakersfield.

Emergency crews arrived at the crash site shortly after 5:48 p.m. Responding paramedics found the female cyclist unconscious. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim, but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Authorities mentioned the driver involved in the unfortunate event stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process.
