Bakersfield Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Highway 58 Near H Street

Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian on Highway 58 Saturday

Bakersfield, CA (December 12, 2020) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident on Highway 58 Saturday night, the ABC23 News reported.

Our sources indicated a vehicle heading west on SR-58 struck an individual. At the moment, the make and model of the car involved in the crash remained undisclosed.

The collision took place just south of H Street.

Shortly after 11:05 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics attended to the pedestrian, but the victim sadly died as a result of the incident. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.

Officers reportedly shut down the westbound lanes of Highway 58 to give way to the investigation process. Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work to determine liability in the deadly pedestrian accident on Highway 58 in Bakersfield.
