Vehicle Strikes, Kills Woman Near Hosking Avenue
Bakersfield, CA (October 14, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on Highway 99 offramp, the KGET News reported.
Our sources indicated a female party was spotted sitting in the gore point of southbound Highway 99 Thursday evening. For reasons still unclear, the woman stood and walked directly in the path of a southbound GMC.
Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Highway 99 in Bakersfield
Shortly after 8 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found the pedestrian lying on the west shoulder of the offramp near Hosking Avenue. Despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel, the woman sadly succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the incident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate liability in the deadly pedestrian accident on Highway 99 near Hosking Avenue.
