Vehicle Strikes, Kills Pedestrian on Taft Highway Near Ashe Road Friday
Bakersfield, CA (August 27, 2021) – One person died following a pedestrian accident that occurred on Taft Highway, the KGET News reported.
Our sources indicated a male party ran into the roadway for an unknown reason. An oncoming vehicle failed to avoid and hit the pedestrian.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Bakersfield, August 27
Medical personnel arrived at the location shortly after 3:45 a.m. Despite life-saving measures, the pedestrian sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Authorities described the deceased as a 35-year-old man. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the name of the fatal victim remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the unfortunate event. Investigators continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the deadly pedestrian accident on Taft Highway in Bakersfield.
