BAKERSFIELD: Edid Cervantes, 34, Fatally Hit by Car on Edison Highway

BAKERSFIELD: Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Edison HighwayBAKERSFIELD, California — According to a California Highway Patrol dispatch, a fatal pedestrian accident took place on Edison Highway in the evening of December 10.

At approximately 11:00 p.m., the CHP team logged a collision between an unknown vehicle driven by Nooruddin Merchant, 61, and a 34-year-old woman.

Police officials disclosed that the woman was taken to Kern Medical Center in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased. She was identified in The Bakersfield Californian as Edid Cervantes.

Details regarding this incident are limited as the California Highway Patrol-Bakersfield division will be handling the investigation.
