1 Killed, 2 Critically Injured in Bakersfield Crash at Stockdale Highway and Renfro Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 19, 2021) – A crash killed one person and critically injured two others at Stockdale Highway and Renfro Road in Bakersfield.
According to The Bakersfield Now and Kern Golden Empire, the tragic accident took place on early Friday. Officers reported the wreck shortly after midnight.
Bakersfield police said a red Honda Civic and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed on Stockdale Highway at the intersection with Renfro Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found three occupants of the Honda hurt. They sustained critical injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed all three patients to a hospital, where a female passenger died. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, police believed that speed played a role in the incident. Officers forced the area of Stockdale Highway and Renfro Road to shut down for hours following the wreck.
