
1 Killed, 2 Injured in Bakersfield Crash Near Union Avenue and 18th Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 19, 2023) – A crash killed one person and injured at least two others near Union Avenue and 18th Street in Bakersfield.
According to The Bakersfield Californian and 23 ABC News, the tragic accident took place on Thursday morning. Officers reported the wreck on May 18 at around 10:04 a.m.
The incident happened when three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of Bakersfield. The cars crashed near the intersection of Union Avenue and East 18th Street.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found several people hurt. One individual sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed that patient to a hospital, where they died. The occupants of the other vehicles complained of pain and minor injuries upon impact.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, police forced the area of Union Avenue and 18th Street to shut down for a time following the wreck.
