BAKERSFIELD, California (March 3, 2017) — Two men and a woman were killed late Thursday night in a collision between a pickup truck and a car at East Panama Lane and South Comanche Drive, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash took place about 11:56 p.m. last night. Two people were trapped in a pickup truck that was fully submerged in a body of water near the intersection. Paramedics responded to the scene and firefighters extricated the two people who were trapped, but at least one of them died.
Preliminary investigation results indicate the pickup truck ran through a stop sign and crashed broadside into the second car.
Police will investigate the crash to determine liability.
