BAKERSFIELD, California (October 18, 2016) —A driver was killed Monday night in a crash on Bear Mountain Boulevard also referred to have Highway 223, according to Bakersfield Now.
The collision was logged at 8:23 a.m. involving three vehicles.
The driver of a minivan identified as Fidencio Colmenares, 51, was ejected from the vehicle after allegedly side-swiping a trailer and then a Doge Ram 4500 driven by Timothy Smith, 31.
Per Bakersfield Now, Colmenares sadly died of his injuries at the scene.
Smith sustained moderate to serious injuries and was rushed to Kern Med Center.
No further details were presented as police diverted westbound traffic towards South H Street while police investigated the collision.
