Deadly, Hit-and-run Pedestrian Accident
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (May 9, 2022) — A fatal Bakersfield hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened Sunday night at East California Avenue and Bakers Street.
The collision occurred about 10:45 p.m. on May 8th, according to KGET.
A driver reportedly struck a person in the roadway and fled the scene. Police found the person and they were pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, authorities are investigating the circumstances and hoping to locate the suspect who fled.
Witnesses told police a vehicle fled from the scene, but it’s unknown yet if there is a description of the suspect’s vehicle.
