Motorcyclist Killed in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run at White and Letzring Lanes
BAKERSFIELD (January 27, 2018) – A fatal alleged hit-and-run collision occurred in the area of White and Letzring lanes on Friday evening, according to Kern Golden Empire and 23 ABC News.
The accident took place at about 7:30 p.m.
As per the reports, Bakersfield police said a man was riding a motorcycle when he collided with a small Honda car. The Honda pulled out onto eastbound White Lane from Letzring Lane and turned into the path of a motorcyclist.
The force of the crash forced the rider to slam into a white SUV at the intersection of White and Letzring lanes.
The man died at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the Honda stopped and cooperated with the authorities while the other motorist fled.
The second vehicle was later found abandoned near Planz and South Real roads. The suspect was described as a woman in her 40s, with a possible dark complexion and wearing a white printed shirt that appeared to be medical scrubs.
