Motorcyclist Killed in Bakersfield Crash at Chester Avenue and 2nd Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 10, 2021) – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash at Chester Avenue and 2nd Street in Bakersfield.
According to an article published by the Kern Golden Empire, the tragic accident took place on Friday night. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 8 p.m.
Bakersfield police said a man riding an off-road motorcycle and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed at the intersection of Chester Avenue and 2nd Street.
Motorcycle Rider and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the rider lying on the ground. He sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. His name remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the other driver sustained injuries or if they stopped following the wreck. Officers forced the area of Chester Avenue and 2nd Street to shut down after the collision.
