Motorcyclist Riding 3-Wheeler Killed in Collision with Gravel Truck
BAKERSFIELD (July 19, 2018)- According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal motorcycle versus vehicle collision occurred Thursday just before noon on South Granite Road.
CHP officials were dispatched to the crash site following the accident which transpired at precisely 11:59 a.m.
According to reports, the operator of a 3-wheeler motorcycle collided with an alleged gravel truck which ultimately ended up overturning.
A medical air ambulance responded and landed at the scene to assist the victims involved.
Authorities confirmed that the motorcyclist sadly did not survive the wreck and was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, per CHP.
Meanwhile, there was no information provided on the driver of the gravel truck and whether or not they were injured.
A heavy-duty tow truck was also called upon to help bring the large semi to an upright position before being towed away.
At this time, no details have been provided in regards to the cause of the wreck and what exactly took place as the investigation remains ongoing.
