BAKERSFIELD, California (August 17, 2015) — A pedestrian was killed early Monday morning in a car accident at Olive and Knudsen drives in front of the Jack in the Box fast food restaurant, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The fatal crash was reported at 5:39 a.m. when the pedestrian was struck by the driver of a black 1995 Mazda pickup truck. The driver’s vehicle was impounded by police and an investigation into the tragic crash is underway.
“This is a tragedy for the victim’s family as they cope with news of this crash,” said Attorney James Johnson. “My condolences go out to them at this difficult time.”
