Pedestrian Killed in Bakersfield Crash on Kentucky Street Tuesday
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 11, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian on Kentucky Street in East Bakersfield.
According to the Bakersfield Californian and 23 ABC News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 5:56 a.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city of Bakersfield. The driver hit her in the 1400 block of Kentucky Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the woman down on the ground. She ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed the motorist stayed at the site after hitting the victim and cooperated with the officials. Officers forced a stretch of Kentucky Street to shut down for a time following the crash.
