Woman Killed in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run on East Truxtun Avenue
BAKERSFIELD (October 29, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed after an alleged hit-and-run accident along East Truxtun Avenue on Monday evening, according to Bakersfield Now and 23 ABC News.
The collision took place at approximately 6:50 p.m. in the 1400 block of East Truxtun Avenue.
As per the reports, police said a female pedestrian was struck for an unknown reason by a vehicle on Truxtun. A few moments later, she was again hit by another car.
Paramedics responded to the area and found the woman suffering from major injuries as a result of the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the first driver stopped after hitting the victim and cooperated with the authorities. The second motorist did not stop to render aid and fled.
A third vehicle appeared to have been involved in the tragic incident but it was not immediately confirmed by the officials. The hit-and-run car was described as a red Chevrolet S-10 or similar pick-up truck.
